Refurbished Antique Mirror Hummingbird

ANTIQUE MIRRORS REFURBISHED WITH SCULPTURES

After sanding off the original finish, daffodils, leaves and birds were fixed onto the vintage mirror frames. The adorned frames were then painted, antiqued and sealed with wax.

The birds in this series were silver leafed on the side facing the mirrors. These mirrors were part of my MSR Series exhibited in 2016 at Navillus Gallery. To read the artist statement for these pieces, please click here.
